The 10th Region Hall of Fame honored two Deming Alumni with induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame this year.  Keshia Woods (Deming Class of 2007) and Kyle King (Deming Class of 2011) were both inducted during their respective ceremonies this year.  In addition, current RCS Boys Basketball coach, Patrick Kelsch, was honored with induction as a player from Augusta.  Coach Kelsch was also named 10th Region Coach of the Year.  Congratulations to all inductees!!!

Keshia Woods started as point guard for 5 out of 6 varsity seasons.  She was nicknamed by her coaches as the “Little General” for her ability to lead her team on offense, defense, and her amazing passing ability.  She finished with 1500 career point which is impressive enough, but she also played with 3 other 1,000 point club members, dishing out 500 career assists.

Averaged double figures for 4 seasons
Lead his team in scoring 3 consecutive seasons
Played in 3 Regional Tournaments

Patrick Kelsch – Augusta – Class of 1996

Patrick Kelsch played from 1991-1996.
He scored 1448 career points
Lead team in scoring Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons
Patrick averaged 24.2 ppg as a junior and 21.1 ppg as a senior
Patrick led the Augusta Panthers to a 15-10 record his senior season, which was Panthers’ first winning season since 1982.
