Mrs. Shanda Gay (Middle School English Language Arts teacher), Mrs. Kristina Wooldridge (High School English Language Arts teacher), Mrs. Tiffany Turner (5th Grade Teacher), and Mr. Jamey Johnson (RCS Principal) attended the recent two day 2017 Kentucky Continuous Improvement Summit in Lexington, Kentucky. The conference was attended this year by 750 participants of teachers and administrators throughout the state.  The Kentucky Department of Education and AdvancED Kentucky sponsor this annual fall conference.  Participants attend a wide variety of workshops to learn strategies that promote student proficiency, engage all students in their learning, as well as how to better build solid reading/writing foundations for all students (just to name a few workshops).  This year, the keynote speaker for the conference was Mike Rutherford, from the Rutherford Learning Group.  Mr. Rutherford also presented at several of the workshops.  His mission is to enhance the quality of students’ education through the development and support of teachers and administrators.  The Robertson County team walked away with a deeper understanding of what can be done to strengthen instruction for our RCS students, as well as being the conduit to share all the information with all RCS teachers.  RCS continues their tradition of excellence!
